Barbara Jaurequi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (L.M.F.T.) through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences which licenses her to practice psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families, teens/children and groups.
She is also a Nationally Certified Master Addiction Counselor (M.A.C.) through NAADAC-The National Association for Addiction Professionals, which recognizes her specialized training and experience working with addicts of all kinds, including those needing Substance Abuse Treatment for Substance/Chemical Dependency (alcoholism/drug addiction), Eating Disorders, Co-dependency and other behavioral addictions.

Barbara Jaurequi is the owner and principal clinician at Inland Insomnia Therapy. As a Behavioral Sleep Medicine Therapist she has also received highly specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia from some of the country’s leading experts in sleep medicine including Dr. Michael L. Perlis and Dr. Donn Posner of the School of Behavioral Sleep Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Jaurequi is one of a select group of private practice therapists in Southern California to offer a specialty in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
As an expert clinician, Ms. Jaurequi works directly with clients to determine their goals for therapy and she tailors treatment plans that best suit their particular needs. She has extensive experience treating the most common disorders for which people seek therapy such as mood disorders (depression and anxiety), obsessive compulsive disorders, life adjustment disorders, stress/anger management, post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, Eating Disorders, Codependency and Insomnia.
As referenced above, Ms. Jaurequi’s practice offers a specialization in the treatment of addictions including Eating Disorders Treatment, Substance Abuse Treatment and treatment for behavioral addictions such as Co-dependency, gambling, spending/shopping and technology addiction. She is also well known for her success in healing troubled marriages which have been affected by addiction. Her extensive experience working with mood disordered individuals who also suffer from an associated sleep disorder, led her to open a specialty practice entirely dedicated to the treatment of insomnia, Inland Insomnia Therapy located in Rancho Cucamonga.

Ms. Jaurequi has been a featured contributor to many business magazines, journals and newspapers including CEO Magazine and Golfdom. She is a former Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Mount St. Mary’s College where she developed and taught numerous classes on a variety of subjects including Eating Disorders, the Psychology of Addiction and Developmental Psychology.

Her passion for keeping current with the latest information about clinical interventions for Binge Eating Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Compulsive Overeating, Drug Addiction and Alcoholism is largely maintained via her professional memberships in the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) and NAADAC – The Association for Addiction Professionals.
